Have you ever met someone and just known that God brought you together for a reason but you were not sure why? Well I had that experience with Phyllis Arrington. For about six months, Phyllis was our warehouse manager and I was blessed by her presence and beautiful spirit. Eventually Phyllis had to find a paying job and we lost her. Now, Phyllis is back! She has taken a position with our ministry partner the Northside Outreach Center (NOC) and will be running their thrift store. Through our friends at the NOC, Phyllis will help us distribute furnishings to bless the Highland Park Community (our birth place). The NOC will function in two ways; as an additional consignment store for our overstock inventory and also as an additional distribution site for program participants in the Highland Park Community. Please join us in praying for the NOC, Phyllis and this new joint venture. We are all very thankful for all of our ministry partners and are excited to see what God does through the NOC in the coming year.

In the coming months, we will be sharing more information about partnerships that we are forming with a number of non-profits, churches, and other ministries. Figuring out how to work with other agencies has been one of the most exciting aspects of my job. We have several very exciting joint ventures in the works that will result in the expansion of the mission of Embrace and the related programs. Please be in prayer for us as we continue to finalize these plans and watch future month’s newsletters for more exciting news!
