One Word: Hope – Fairfield Court Fellowship Day

“One word, one word, one word, one word is all I need.”

Those lyrics from Micah Stampley’s “Speak Into My Life” rang out in the Boys & Girls Club at Fairfield Court today, while Yolanda expressed those words through dance.  Before dancing so beautifully, Yolanda told the crowd of about 35 residents and staff that the joy of the Lord was her strength.  She told listeners to surrender.  That was the first step to understanding that one word: hope.

Today’s Fellowship Day at Fairfield Court was a great success.  We welcomed Bishop Charlene Kammerer of the United Methodist Church.  It was a pleasure to have her and we hope she enjoyed her time and was able to learn a little bit about Fairfield and the East End communities, as well as Embrace and what we’re all about.

We also honored seven new Fairfield Community leaders and gave them their official Embrace t-shirts!  These leaders have chosen to serve their community and we thank them.  Please be in prayer for these leaders as well as their community.

We had great people, great food and great fellowship.  We hope to see you during the summer when every Thursday will be a Fellowship Day!  And don’t forget to see what happened at another great Fellowship Day in Hillside!
