On Saturday, Feb.25, the Family Team took three van loads of excited children, parents and volunteers to the Children’s Museum of Richmond. The children loved the giant playhouse with the slide and the apple tree where they could pick apples. They also really enjoyed Town Square, where they could pretend to be doctors, newscasters or cashiers. This trip also offered parents the opportunity to do art with their children or teach them about things from their childhood. The children loved being at the museum and we are all looking forward to our next Family Team outing! Thank you to all who contributed to this outing with a special thanks to Agape for providing transportation and to all who sponsored this event.
Embrace Richmond is non-profit helping non-profits, congregations and governmental agencies across the Greater Richmond Region become more asset-based in their community development efforts. We do this by providing training and coaching in Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). ABCD builds on the gifts, talents and passions of neighborhood residents and strengthens communities from the inside out.
